Mozart School of Music
Brings Quality
Music Education to the Peninsula
As a parent we realize you have
a choice between several different music studios. All studios are
not the same. We constantly improve our programs and provide ongoing
training to our staff to ensure we are always providing our students
and parents with the best music education possible.
Teaching is our thing
We do what we do best... teach music! We do not sell music or instruments.
We focus our attention on developing and refining our programs to
provide the very best music instruction.
Highly Qualified Teachers
Our teachers are elite musicians who actively perform and record
throughout the United States and abroad.

performances, click here.]
Our teachers are university trained and many have advanced degree(s)
in their respective instrument.
They are expert educators who can tailor their music
education approaches to match each student's learning styles while
showing unparalleled patience.
Professional Teaching Environment
Learning music requires more than having qualified
teachers. It requires an environment that is focused on music education.
In a professional school environment a student cannot be distracted
by televisions, pets, ringing phones, siblings or other common distractions
available in a private setting. With less than an hour of lesson
time per week, students need to maximize their lesson time to successfully
advance in their music education. A professional school environment
helps students to focus during the lessons, thereby producing better
overall results.
Additional benefits of a school environment is that
students are often motivated by seeing and hearing other students
play at the school. Hearing music by a peer who play at more a advanced
level may motivate a student to play better, or a peer who play
a different musical instrument may encourage a student to explore
different forms of music.
Many of our piano students
study on one of our two full sized(6 foot) Kawai grand pianos or
on our 5' 11" Baldwin grand piano. We believe that experiencing
quality instruments is important from the very beginning of learning
an instrument. Our studios are additionally equipped with three
acoustic upright pianos and nine state of the art, weighted digital
pianos(for Harmony Road).
All Ages, All Levels, & All Styles
It is never too early or too late to learn!
Children as young as two can join us in our early childhood music
programs (Kindermusik & Harmony Road). They are led by the founder
of the school, Christine Shin, an experienced early childhood music
educator. [Go here to see what
parents are saying.]
Our private students are from all age groups, ranging
from 4 year olds, working professionals, to people in their late
60's. Our teachers are experienced to meet your learning needs,
whether you aspire to become a professional musician or simply want
to learn for pleasure.
Recitals
We believe that performing is a very important component
of music education. It builds confidence, poise, and discipline.
Each year, we hold two recitals at a major concert hall in the bay
area. See the pictures from our last recital
here. We hold additional informal
recitals throughout the year.
Exams
Many of our students participate in various exams
at the state, national and international level. New Mozart School
of Music is proud to be the Palo Alto center for the National Piano
Guild Exam.
We have grown to become a leading
music institution with 350 students and over 20 international faculty.
Most of our new students are referrals from other satisfied parents
and students. Come and see why we are the fastest growing music
school on the Peninsula.
