Harmony Road Summer 2026
Hello Music
A joyful first step into music for 3–4-year-olds
Parent/Caregiver participation required in class & at home
Course Length: 6-week summer session
Hello Music is a fun, engaging introductory class designed for young children who are brand new to the Harmony Road Music Course. Perfect for active 3- and 4-year-olds, this class lays the foundation for future musical learning, including Music in Me and More Music in Me.
Each class features a dynamic mix of activities:
🎶 Singing (with words and solfege)
🥁 Rhythmic movement and games
🎹 Introduction to keyboard geography
🎨 Hands-on play with streamers, hoops, balls, and percussion instruments
Children explore core musical concepts—such as high/low, soft/loud, fast/slow—through movement, song, and interactive visual tools like magnetic boards and note magnets. Early solfege singing (Do, Re, Mi) helps children feel and internalize pitch patterns naturally. Finger games promote hand shape awareness and finger-number familiarity in preparation for future keyboard playing.
Parents and caregivers are active participants, both in class and at home, helping to build a shared musical bond that continues beyond the classroom.

Harmony Road to Private Lessons
The perfect next step after Harmony Road 2!
This unique summer class is designed to help Harmony Road 2 graduates transition smoothly into private lessons. In the past, students moving directly into private instruction sometimes encountered gaps in expectations - private lesson teachers didn’t always realize the depth of musical knowledge Harmony Road students already had.
In this class, students will solidify their understanding of note names, letter names, and begin speaking about music in the language of private lessons. Using a widely recognized piano method book, students will explore new techniques, expressive playing, and musical details such as dynamics and articulation. Fun, targeted games and exercises will reinforce these skills and boost their confidence.
By the end of the course, students will be well-prepared—musically and mentally—for the exciting journey of one-on-one private lessons in the fall.

“Dear Teacher Christine,
Jordan and I so thoroughly enjoyed your class today. Your voice is so beautiful! The music you played was so touching. Jordan is so blessed to have such an introduction to piano!
Following the class today, Jordan came home to tell his dad he wants to be a “piano teacher” when he grows up, while he has previously wanted to be a pilot. He must have been so mesmerized by your teaching…”
“I have been a student at the New Mozart School of Music for as long as I can remember. I am so grateful to all of the teachers and staff who in many ways have watched me grow up… I know for certain that whatever I do in the future, music will remain an integral part of my life.
