Piano
Lessons at New Mozart (You
can take lessons at one of our two convenient Palo Alto locations,
close driving distance from Menlo Park, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills,
Mountain View, Redwood City & Sunnyvale)
From beginners to very advanced, we offer piano lessons for students
of all ages! We
teach every style of piano from classical and pop; to jazz or the
blues. Some students just want to learn to play piano for fun, while
others excel and go on to achieve notoriety. Guild Auditions and
Certificate of Merit Exam are some examples.
With so many qualified teachers (12
currently) at New Mozart School of Music, we are able to match students
with someone who they can bond with on a musical level. We
have teachers with doctoral degrees in piano performance, teachers
who taught at the universities & conservatories, teachers with
early childhood music training, and teachers who are active jazz
musicians. All of our piano teachers go through a rigorous screening
process, and only the best are invited to teach at New Mozart.
Your child’s
age, abilities and interest in piano will determine the best match.
We welcome ages 6 + with no limit to the age of starting new beginning
piano lessons. For students between the ages of 4 - 6, we recommend
our Harmony Road program or Pre-Piano Lessons to introduce lessons.
The one-on-one piano instructions
are offered in 30 minute, 45 minute or 1 hour sessions.
Parents are encouraged and welcome to sit in on private piano lessons
if they choose. Advanced piano students will be matched with teachers
who hold master’s or doctoral degrees in piano to prepare
them for University advancement and potential music scholarships.
Part of this includes certification with the Guild Auditions, Certificate
of Merit, and various competitions.
