  • Rehearsals:

    • Rehearsals will be held on the morning of the concert date. Exact time and rehearsal assignment will be announced via email and updated here when we confirm with Solti Hall.

  • Practice Rooms:

    • I'm in the process of reserving a practice room with Liszt Academy. More information will be updated here once it's confirmed. We will have at least one day available for rehearsals before the concert. I'm hoping to secure two days.

IMPORTANT RECITAL INFORMATION for PERFORMERS

General enrollment is now closed. We are making exceptions for advanced New Mozart students ONLY with a recommendation letter from their teachers. Please email the office to manually enroll.

Performer selections will be announced Dec 31 or sooner.


Recital Information

Recital Fee

  • $400 per participant/per instrument (non-refundable).

  • The recital fee includes four tickets and a set of professional photos.

  • Please note: Photography and video/audio recording by the audience is not permitted at Solti Hall.

Performance Guidelines

  • Time Limit: Each performer may play one piece:

    • Advanced students: up to 5 minutes

    • Beginner to intermediate students: up to 3 minutes

    • Additional time can be arranged at $100 per minute with prior approval.

    • Note: One movement of a sonata, concerto, or suite is considered one piece.

  • Eligibility Requirements:

    • Open to private lesson students with at least 2 years of experience; not intended for beginners.

    • Minimum age: 6 years old at registration.

    • All performers are required to play from memory.

    • Repertoire Submission: Due by 2/10.

Students Using an Accompanist

  • Accompanist fees are separate and will reflect local accompanist rates plus administrative fees.

  • New Mozart will offer ample rehearsal opportunities with our school accompanists and/or piano teachers, charged at the regular lesson rate, to ensure that students are fully prepared to perform with the local accompanist.

Concert Duration and Attendance

  • The concert will run approximately 2.5–3 hours, including an intermission.

  • All performers and audience members are expected to attend for the entire duration.

    • Please consider your child’s readiness for a 3-hour concert before registering.

  • Children under 6 are not allowed in the audience. Kindly make childcare arrangements in advance.

Tickets

  • All attendees, including performers, are required to have a ticket.

  • Ticket purchase details will be announced at a later date and updated here once available.

Performer Selection

  • Participants will be chosen based on their music level and years of study at New Mozart, with preference given to intermediate and advanced students.

  • Final performer selections will be announced on December 31st.

  • An audition video may be requested as part of the final selection process.

Important: Please do not make any travel arrangements until you receive a final acceptance email.

Additional Information

  • All participants are responsible for arranging and covering their own travel, accommodation, and related expenses.

  • To participate, students must be actively enrolled at New Mozart during the recital registration period, the months leading up to the performance, and for at least 30 days after. Students who pause lessons over the summer are ineligible.

  • The recital is intended for acoustic instruments and voice with no sound amplification available.

  • Performers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parents or legal guardians must accompany their participating children to Budapest.

New Mozart reserves the right to make any adjustments to the recital rules, schedule, or other concert details.
