Both The Amadeus Way and Harmony Road offer young children a joyful and engaging introduction to music while building a strong foundation in musicianship.
Harmony Road is a trusted and established early childhood music program that New Mozart has successfully offered for more than 20 years. Its structured curriculum introduces children to singing, rhythm, ear training, movement, keyboard skills, and music reading in a fun and supportive group environment.
The Amadeus Way is New Mozart's proprietary early childhood music program, created by New Mozart founder and director Christine Shin, together with her husband, Dr. Paul Lee, a Stanford-educated psychologist.
The Amadeus Way draws upon Christine's more than 20 years of experience in early childhood music education and 37 years of experience in piano and vocal pedagogy. It reflects the teaching methods, activities, and approaches she has found most effective through decades of working directly with young children and their families.
At this time, Director Christine personally teaches all Amadeus Way classes, giving families the opportunity to experience the program directly with its creator.
Both programs provide a comprehensive musical foundation and reflect New Mozart's commitment to giving children a rich and meaningful beginning in music—nurturing strong musicianship, confidence, creativity, and a genuine love of music.

Priority registrations are processed in this order:
Current AW & HR students: Retaining their current time slot.
Current AW & HR students: Requesting a change in time slot. (preferred time slots are not guaranteed but you have a high chance of securing a class of your choice).
Siblings of current New Mozart students: We will do our best to accommodate your family’s needs, though preferred time slots are not guaranteed.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Students must meet the age or grade requirement by the 1st day of class.
Parent or caregiver's FULL PARTICIPATION is expected in class & at home.
AM 1-2 / HR 1-2 classes require 5 days a week practice commitment.
Siblings and other non-enrolled children are NOT allowed in class. If you have childcare challenges, email us for private lesson options instead.
We reserve the right to cancel a class that hasn't met the minimum enrollment. Full refund will be issued.

New Mozart’s early childhood program is led by Christine Shin, founder and director of New Mozart School of Music. Christine has extensive training in early childhood music education methodologies, including Dalcroze (Juilliard School, New York), Orff (Mozarteum, Salzburg), and Kodály (Holy Names), in addition to her classical piano and vocal background. She has been teaching music since 1989 and has served for many years as Chair of the Palo Alto branch of the National Guild of Piano Teachers. Read her full bio here.
