New Mozart School of Music is a premier music school in Palo Alto serving the community since 1989. Our teaching and office team consist of passionate musicians/teachers committed to providing a nurturing learning environment to students of all ages and levels. Many of our teachers have been with us 10 + years including teachers who have been teaching with us for nearly 20 years.
We provide full administrative support including scheduling, enrollment, accounting, recruiting.
We are located in the heart of Palo Alto in the College Terrace Centre (Class A building) which we built from the ground up.

Compensation is based on teaching experience, education & background
Full-time employees who meet requirements are eligible for benefits (see below for more info). For teaching staff, full-time status is defined as teaching 30 hours per week across 5 days. For administrative staff, full-time status is defined as working 40 hours per week across 5 days.

Qualifications
Must have legal status to work in the US with documentation
H1B Visa sponsorship is provided to qualifying candidates with advanced degrees
BA or BM in music (preference is given to MM / PHD / DMA holder)
2 or more years of experience teaching children
Suzuki, ABRSM, or RCM certification is preferred
Patient with students of all ages & levels
Excellent communication skills with students, parents and our administrative team
Responsible and punctual
Resides in the Bay Area with reliable transportation to Palo Alto
2 year minimum commitment
Hours
Weekday teaching is generally between 2 pm - 9 pm
Saturday teaching is 9 am - 4:30 pm
Ideal candidates are available to work 6 hours per day (+ a break) with a minimum of 3 days
Full-time status is defined as teaching 30 hours per week across 5 days for teaching staff
Compensation/Benefits
Compensation is dependent on education, teaching experience, work performance, attendance and student retention. All teachers & staff are hired exclusively as W2 employees not 1099 contractors.
Full-Time Employees
Full-time employees who meet eligibility requirements are offered a comprehensive benefits package, including Paid Time Off, health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as participation in our 401K plan with a 3% employer match.
Additional benefits include employee discounts on private lessons, complimentary tuition for the Harmony Road program, and performance opportunities at professional venues through our student and faculty recitals.
Part-Time Employees
Part-time employees are eligible to participate in our 401K plan after three months of employment, including a 3% employer match. They also receive employee discounts on private lessons, complimentary tuition for the Harmony Road program with a minimum teaching commitment of 8 hours per week, and performance opportunities at professional venues through our student and faculty recitals.
Part-time teachers who consistently demonstrate professionalism and maintain strong student retention may be considered for full-time status when positions become available or their hours reach 30 hours of teaching per week.
